House in El Rocio
Halfway between the wild and the domestic, this traditional way of life within a modern era offers a non-manichean breath of hope and a new approach to inhabiting one’s workplace. The space proposed here is a semi-domestic breeding ground, functioning cooperatively and paired with a workshop for making and repairing. The hierarchy from bottom to top limewashed blocks, concrete beams, and curved metal sheets creates a building where the boundary feels light and open.
